Dass Journalisten nicht sehr viel von der Arbeit im Sozialen Netz halten, merkt man leider oft sobald man die Facebookseiten von Verlagen und deren journalistischer Angebote aufruft. War es bisher aber eher ein subjektiver Eindruck von außen, scheint er sich jetzt auch auf Faktenbasis zu bestätigen.
newsaktuell.de hat das Thema gemeinsam mit Faktenkontor in einer sehr interessanten Umfrage nun mal etwas genauer beleuchtet. Die Ergebnisse des Social Media Trendmonitor 2011 überraschen wenig:

Journalisten und PR-Fachleute haben noch immer Nachholbedarf in Sachen Social Media. Twitter & Co. sind zwar in den Redaktionen und Pressestellen als “wertvolles Arbeitswerkzeug” angekommen, aber die Wahrnehmung als “notwendiges Übel” ist noch immer weit verbreitet.
Während es in Online-Redaktionen noch ganz gut aussieht, sind gerade Tageszeitungen und Magazine laut Studie sehr hinterher:
Weniger selbstbewusst zeigen sich dagegen Zeitschriften- und Tageszeitungsredaktionen. Nur jede fünfte unter ihnen (jeweils 21 Prozent) fühlt sich gut gewappnet im Umgang mit dem Web 2.0.
Gut jeder dritte Journalist empfindet Social Media als “Nervkram” oder “notwendiges Übel”, so die aktuelle Studie (38 Prozent). Das gilt vor allem für Journalisten aus Zeitschriften- (46 Prozent) und Tageszeitungsredaktionen (39 Prozent).
Das eigentlich erschreckende an der ganzen Studie ist aber die Einstellung zum Social Web, die sich in weiten Teilen noch immer nicht geändert hat:
Und obwohl sich alle einig sind, dass der Einsatz von Social Media im Arbeitsalltag weiter steigen wird (Journalisten: 64 Prozent; Pressestellen: 79 Prozent; PR-Agenturen: 84 Prozent), planen fast die Hälfte aller Unternehmen (46 Prozent) und Redaktionen (43 Prozent) keine Investition in Social Media. Bedauerlich: Denn laut Studie erleichtert Social Media den Austausch zwischen Redaktionen und PR-Verantwortlichen.

Bei den Fensterrahmen ist zu beobachte, dass die modernen Elemente heute etwas dicker sind als noch vor
einigen Jahrzehnten. Der Grund dafür ist einfach: Bestanden die Fenster
in früheren Zeiten aus einer einzelnen Glasscheibe,
kombinieren sie heute mehrere Scheiben zu Verbundmaterialien. Sie müssen flexibel es
tun, um sich gut zu Fenstern in verschiedenen Formen verarbeiten zu
lassen. Die Zwischenräume sind mit isolierenden Gasen gefüllt,
um eine möglichst gute Dämmwirkung zu erzielen. All das braucht seinen Platz.
Da die Fensterelemente allerdings hundertpro schlanker als das Mauerwerk bleiben, in das sie Verwendung
finden, ist diese größere Stärke kein Hindernis.
