Das hat zum Glück nicht lange auf sich warten lassen: Mit der WAZ-Mediengruppe, bzw. DERWESTEN steigt die erste deutsche Lokalzeitung in das Groupon-Fieber mit ein. Ich hatte Mitte Januar schon drüber geschrieben, dass sich Groupon-Konzepte sehr gut für Lokalzeitungen eignen. Vor ein paar Tagen ist zu dem Thema auch ein Kommentar auf theeuropean.de erschienen. In sechs Tagen geht es also los. Unter www.westdeal.de gibt es ab 15. März das erste deutsche Gruppenkauf-Angebot eines klassischen Verlagshauses.
Die Seite ist sehr schön gestaltet und übersichtlich gehalten. Mich freut vor allem, dass die Macher das Konzept scheinbar richtig verstanden haben: Sie versuchen erst gar nicht ein großes “Sammelangebot” für den kompletten Ruhrpott zu starten, sondern bieten spezielle Angebote für die einzelnen Gebiete und Städte. Zumindest lässt der Newsletter darauf hoffen.
